Los Angeles freeway closed after fire will reopen by Tuesday, ahead of schedule, governor says
Repairs to the closed Los Angeles freeway are ahead of schedule, with all lanes set to reopen by next Tuesday.
The bridge structure is in better shape than expected, according to Gov. Gavin Newsom.
An estimated 300,000 vehicles use the freeway daily, and the city has been urging alternative transportation options. [ more ]
